Finals Game 1: Rams - Tuatara 102-87

Canterbury Rams celebrated NBL title. They rallied past Tautara in the Final to defend their title. Rams outrebounded Tuatara 44-33 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rams looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Australian power forward Lachlan Olbrich (208-2003, college: UC Riverside) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American forward KJ Buffen (203-2000, college: UAB, agency: Diamond Sports) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the losing side the former international Corey Webster (188-1988, college: Lambuth) responded with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international power forward Robert Loe (211-1991, college: St.Louis) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Tuatara's coach Aaron Young rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
