We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams whenKahu was smashed at home by Hoiho 96-69 on Sunday. S. Hoiho dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kahu 's 38. S. Hoiho outrebounded N. Kahu 60-30 including a 44-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. S. Hoiho looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by N. Kahu helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Australian center Jessie Edwards (193-1995, college: Minnesota) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. Australian Taylah Simmons (185-1997, college: Southeastern) contributed with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Hoiho players scored in double figures. replied with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Australian guard Lauren Mansfield (170-1989, college: Iowa St.) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for N. Kahu. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
