Luke Nevill
Al Rayyan Doha (D1) signed 31-year old Australian ex-international center Luke Nevill (218-120kg-86, college: Utah). He moved there from Bank of Taiwan in Taiwanese SBL league where he played this season. In 32 games he had very impressive stats: 17.3ppg, 15.1rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1bpg. Great season as he was named to Asia-basket.com All-Taiwanese SBL Honorable Mention. The last season Nevill played also at Bank of Taiwan (also in SBL). In 32 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 20.6ppg, 12.9rpg, 2.0apg and 1.9bpg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to Asia-basket.com Taiwanese SBL All-Imports Team.
Nevill has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he played in the final of Taiwanese SBL in 2014. Nevill was also voted Asia-basket.com All-Taiwanese SBL Player of the Year and Asia-basket.com All-Taiwanese SBL Import Player of the Year back in 2014. He was a member of Australian Senior National Team between 2010 and 2014.
Nevill is quite experienced player. He has played in four different countries on three different continents (Asia, Australia and of course North America). Nevill has played previously professionally also in Russia, NBA (Indiana Pacers) and Australia (Illawarra Hawks, Perth Wildcats, Townsville Crocodiles and Suns) and Taiwan (Taiwan Mobile).
He attended University of Utah until 2009 and it is his eighth season as a professional player.
Nevill could be described: Nevill has great feet and great hands for someone his size.

Joondalup City Wanneroo Wolves (SBL) inked 30-year old Canadian power forward Ryan Wright (206-111kg-87, college: Oklahoma). He moved there from Vasas in Hungarian NB I. B where he started the season. In 21 games he recorded 13.0ppg and 7.3rpg this season. Wright also played that season for Szolnoki Olajbanyasz (A Division) in Hungarian league. In 9 NB I. Kyrie Irving (190-G-92) could not help the Cleveland Cavaliers (51-31) in their last game.
