Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia (Serie A) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American swingman Patrick Richard (196-94kg-90, college: McNeese State, agency: Inception Sports). He started the season at Breakers in Australian NBL league. In 26 games he recorded 11.0ppg, 3.5rpg and 2.3apg this season. The last season Richard played at Joventut (Liga Endesa) in Spanish league where in 32 games he averaged 11.3ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3spg (in top 4). He also played 4 games in Basketball Champions League where he had 10.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 3.0apg and 1.3spg.
In 2012 Richard was drafted by Iowa Energy (D-League) in seventh round (105th overall).
The former McNeese State staris in his seventh season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements Richard played in the final of Southland Conference Tournament for two years in a row (2011 and 2012). He received also All-Southland Conf. Player of the Year award back in 2012 at his college time.
Richard is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America) in five different countries. Richard has played previously professionally also in France (Chalons Reims), Germany (Mitteldeutscher BC), Holland (Matrixx Magixx Wijchen) and Israel (Rishon).
The scouts decsribe him following way: A fearless warrior who can score with the best players in the nation. Solid player on both ends of the floor and comes to play every night! At 6'5 with his ability he will be a great professional shooting guard. "2012 Southland Conference Player of the Year".
