Purcell re-signs at Melbourne- July 1, 2020
The previous (2019) summer she played at Dream in New Zealand where in 9 games she recorded 14.6ppg, 11.6rpg (#3 in the league), 2.1apg and 2.8spg (in top 3) in 2019 season. Purcell contributed to her team winning the New Zealand WBC title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. Quite impressive season as she was voted Australiabasket.com All-New Zealand WBC Finals MVP, named to 1st Team and League Player of the Week. Purcell also represented New Zealand at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast (Australia) two years ago. Her team won Bronze and her stats at that event were 6 games: 5.0ppg, 5.5rpg, 2.2apg, Steals-1 (3.2spg), 1.0bpg. Purcell graduated from Brigham Young University in 2017 and it is her fourth season as a professional player. She could be described: An energetic, yet very experienced wing player. She's very versatile and can do a little bit of everything on the court, almost every time positive.
