Alison Schwagmeyer signs at Sydney Uni

Sydney Uni Flames (WNBL) landed 30-year old American swingman Alison Schwagmeyer (177-90, college: Quincy). She is a well-known player in Australian WNBL as she played most recently at Perth Lynx. In 18 WNBL games in Australia she averaged impressive 15.3ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.9apg last season. It was a very successful year in her career as she was awarded Australiabasket.com All-Australian WNBL Sixth Player of the Year.
The previous (2019) summer Schwagmeyer played at Lightning (SBL) where in 8 games she had very remarkable stats: 18.3ppg, 4.8rpg and 4.5apg in 2019 season. She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. She can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Australiabasket.com All-Australian WNBL Honorable Mention.
Schwagmeyer is a very experienced player. She has quite traveled the world as her pro career brought her to four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). Schwagmeyer has played previously professionally also in Germany, Romania (Alexandria) and Spain.
Among many awards Schwagmeyer won Australian SBL championship title in 2018. She received also Australiabasket.com All-Australian SBL Player of the Year award in 2018.
She attended Quincy University until 2012 and it will be her ninth season in pro basketball.
