Illawarra Hawks (NBL) landed 27-year old American guard Tyler Harvey (194-84kg-93, college: EWU). He played most recently at Ratiopharm in German BBL league. In 19 games he averaged 10.2ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.1apg last season. Harvey helped them to make it to the semifinals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week. Harvey also played 4 games in Eurocup where he had 12.8ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.3apg.
The most of previous (2018-19) season Harvey spent at the Grizzlies in NBA. In 38 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.8ppg, 3.1rpg and 3.4apg. Harvey contributed to his team ending the regular season as at the second position in G League Midwest Division. The other team he played that season for was Hustle in U.S. NBA-G-League. In 38 games he got remarkable 16.8ppg, 3.1rpg, 3.4apg and 1.3spg.
In 2015 Harvey was drafted by Orlando Magic (NBA) in second round (51st overall). He attended Eastern Washington University and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
Harvey has played also professionally in France (Olympique Antibes), Italy (Torino) and NBA G League (College Park SkyHawks).
Among many awards Harvey's college team won Big Sky Conference Tournament in 2015. He received also NABC All-District 6 1st Team award back in 2015.
