There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most exciting game of round 10 in the Local Leagues took place in Joondalup. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Tigers (8-5) to sixth ranked Wanneroo (9-4) 97-95 on Saturday evening. Wanneroo outrebounded Tigers 43-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Wanneroo looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Power forward Robert Huntington (203-90, college: Nova SE) fired 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Lochlan Cummings (189-95, college: HIU) chipped in 27 points and 4 assists. Wanneroo's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Naturalized British forward Lewis Thomas (203-92, college: WOU) produced 27 points and 4 assists for lost side. Wanneroo moved-up to fourth place in League. Tigers at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Redbacks (9-4) against fourth ranked Lightning (9-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Redbacks were defeated by Lightning in North Lake 84-69. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Jay Bowie (196-92, college: Marist) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 rebounds. Andrew Ferguson contributed with 13 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized Belgian guard Marshall Nelson (188-94, college: WBU) replied with 27 points and 7 rebounds for Redbacks. Lightning moved-up to third place in League. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Leader Senators delivered the twelfth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Flames (7-6) 126-94 in Perth. Cody Ellis scored 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners. Senators' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Jackson Hussey responded with 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Senators maintains first position in League with 12-1 record. Loser Flames dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Bottom-ranked Seahawks (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 85-70 loss to eleventh ranked Thunder (2-5) in Runaway Bay. Atem Bior notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Thunder moved-up to ninth place in League. Seahawks at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Thunder's next round opponent will be Rip City (#11) in Sippy Downs. Seahawks will play at home against Ipswich Force and hope to get finally their first victory.
The game in Gold Coast was also quite interesting. Second ranked Brisbane Capitals (7-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Rollers (2-5). Brisbane Capitals did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 79-61 on Saturday. Nicholas Stoddart fired 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Brisbane Capitals maintains second position in League with 7-1 record having just fifteen point less than leader BA CoE. Loser Rollers keep the eighth place with five games lost. Brisbane Capitals' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Brisbane Roar.

Rest of the games of round 10 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
In League USC Rip were crushed by Ipswich F. in Booval 104-72. SW Metro P. beat Northside W. at home 93-82. Toowoomba M. was destroyed by SD Spartans on the opponent's court 127-74. Toowoomba M. lost to undefeated RedCity R. in a home game 81-105. SC Phoenix rolled over USC Rip on the road 100-80. Willetton T. defeated Cockburn C. on its own court 81-74. SW Slammers was smashed by Geraldton B. in Wonthella 82-46. Mandurah M. lost to Kalamunda E.S. at home 77-79. East Perth E. unfortunately lost to Goldfields G. on the opponent's court 79-96. Cockburn C. was rolled over Perry Lakes H. in a home game 82-112.
The best stats of 10th round was 19 points and 28 rebounds by Nelson Kahler of SC Phoenix.

Gold Coast R. - Brisbane C. 61-79

The game in Gold Coast was also quite interesting. Second ranked Brisbane Capitals (7-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Rollers (2-5). Brisbane Capitals did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 79-61 on Saturday. Rollers were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Nicholas Stoddart (-0) fired 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international guard Jason Cadee (186-91) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Brisbane Capitals players scored in double figures. Swingman Jalen Patton-Croker (193-99, college: Southeast CC) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Tom Howard (200-95) added 7 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Ipswich Force made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Ipswich Force outrebounded Rip City 51-29 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rip City was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. International guard Nathan Sobey (190-90, college: Wyoming) fired 32 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Bottom-ranked Seahawks (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 85-70 loss to eleventh ranked Thunder (2-5) in Runaway Bay. Four Thunder players scored in double figures. Even 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by Jesse Lomax did not help to save the game for Seahawks. American forward Donovan Russell (198, college: Goucher) added 14 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Thunder moved-up to ninth place in League. Seahawks at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Thunder's next round opponent will be Rip City (#11) in Sippy Downs. Senators looked well-organized offensively handing out 39 assists comparing to just 25 passes made by Flames' players. The former international forward Cody Ellis (202-90, college: St.Louis) scored 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Sudanese forward Ngor Manyang (200-93) chipped in 24 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) during the contest. Senators' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
