The round 12 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Local Leagues top team - Roar (10-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat twelfth ranked Seahawks (0-10) in Brisbane 97-86. Roar dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Seahawks' 34. Roar forced 23 Seahawks turnovers. Worth to mention a quality performance of point guard Darryl McDowell-White (183-97, college: Master's) who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!) and 4 steals and guard Verle Williams-Jr (180-97) who added 23 points, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was Maika Shortland with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Roar have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Seahawks at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Roar are looking forward to face Ipswich Force (#4) in Booval in the next round. Seahawks will play at home against Rip City (#10) and hope to get finally their first victory.
Fourth ranked Ipswich Force (7-2) crushed at home 11th ranked Northside Wizards (2-8) by 33 points 118-85, which is the biggest margin this round. The winners were led by international guard Nathan Sobey (190-90, college: Wyoming) who scored that evening 50 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Jesse Ghee supported him with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals. Even 17 points and 5 assists by Jacob Arthur did not help to save the game for Northside Wizards. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ipswich Force have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Cent.Coast C. and Sutherland S. Northside Wizards lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with USC Rip. Ipswich Force will play against Rollers (#8) in Gold Coast in the next round where they are favorite. Northside Wizards will play at home against Thunder and hope to get back on the winning track.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 12: Northside W. was destroyed by SC Phoenix on the opponent's court 92-60. Brisbane C. managed to outperform SC Phoenix in a home game 106-99. Gold Coast R. was rolled over Logan T. on the road 105-75. USC Rip was crushed by SD Spartans on its own court 66-86.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 22 points and 10 rebounds by Callum Dalton of SD Spartans.

SC Phoenix - Northside W. 92-60

Very expected game in Cotton Tree where 11th ranked Northside Wizards (2-8) were crushed by fifth ranked Phoenix (6-4) 92-60. Phoenix outrebounded Northside Wizards 49-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Northside Wizards' players. The winners were led by guard Jamaal Robateau (196, college: Gardner-Webb) who scored that evening 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized British guard Joshua Walters (189-92) supported him with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 18 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists by Cameron Thew did not help to save the game for Northside Wizards. Jacob Arthur added 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Phoenix maintains fifth position with 6-4 record. Northside Wizards lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with eight games lost. They share the position with USC Rip. Phoenix will play against South West Metro Pirates (#7) in Runcorn in the next round. Northside Wizards will play at home against Thunder and hope to get back on the winning track.

Rather predictable result when second ranked Brisbane Capitals (8-2) defeated at home 5th ranked Phoenix (6-4) 106-99. Brisbane Capitals made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Phoenix turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. The winners were led by the former international guard Jason Cadee (186-91) who scored that evening 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and forward Jarred Bairstow (201-92, college: UCO) supported him with 28 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 25 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists by forward Jonathan Janssen (205-95, college: HPU) did not help to save the game for Phoenix. Guard Jamaal Robateau (196, college: Gardner-Webb) added 24 points. Four Brisbane Capitals and five Phoenix players scored in double figures. Brisbane Capitals maintains second position with 8-2 record having just eighteen point less than leader RedCity R., which they share with SD Spartans. Phoenix at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. Brisbane Capitals' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Brisbane to the arena Brisbane Spartans.

The winners were led by forward Atem Bior (201, college: UTSA) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Chris Cedar (188-88) supported him with 18 points and 5 assists. Thunder's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by swingman Jalen Patton-Croker (193-99, college: Southeast CC) did not help to save the game for Rollers. Swingman Tom Howard (200-95) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Thunder and four Rollers players scored in double figures. Thunder have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with SW Metro P. Rollers at the other side keep the eighth position with six games lost. Thunder will play against Northside Wizards (#11) in Taigum in the next round where they are favorite. Rollers will play at home against Ipswich Force and hope to get back on the winning track.
