New Zealand Breakers (NBL) landed 22-year old Australian guard William McDowell-White (196cm-84kg-98, college: Fresno State). He started the season at Rio Grande Valley Vipers (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 14 games he averaged just 2.9ppg, 3.3rpg and 3.1apg. The last summer McDowell-White played at Roar in Australian NBL1 North where in 12 games he was league's fifth best scorer with impressive 25.0ppg and recorded 9.1rpg, 5.7apg and 3.9spg (leader !!!). He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. He can count that season as a very successful as was awarded Australiabasket.com All-Australian QBL Defensive Player of the Year and League Player of the Week (2 times).
McDowell-White represented Australia at the World Championships U19 in Heraklion (Greece) six years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 7.4ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.7apg, Steals-5 (2.1spg), FGP: 48.1%, 3PT: 38.5%, FT: 78.6%.
And here thanks to pro basketball McDowell-White experienced life on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Australian and of course North American leagues. McDowell-White has played previously professionally in Germany (Brose Bamberg and Baunach), Australia (Brisbane Spartans) and NBA Summer League (Houston Rockets).
Among many awards McDowell-White received Australiabasket.com All-Australian SEABL Youth Player of the Year award back in 2016 at his college time.
He attended Fresno State until 2017 and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.
