This is still too early stage of the Regular Season in Local League and we should expect many changes in upcoming rounds. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, favorites losing the games, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Eastern Mavericks (0-1) in Goodwood on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by top-ranked Forestville Eagles (1-0) 99-68. It was a key game for the second position in League. Forestville Eagles outrebounded Eastern Mavericks 47-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Michael Harris who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Greg Mays (203-93, college: Green Bay) contributed with 23 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Nathaniel Koko replied with 19 points and 6 rebounds for Eastern Mavericks. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Forestville Eagles left bottom position moving up to second place in League. Eastern Mavericks at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. Forestville Eagles are looking forward to face Norwood Flames (#8) in Marden in the next round where they are favorite. Eastern Mavericks will play at home against South Adelaide Panthers and hope to get finally their first victory.
Another interesting game for undefeated Sturt Sabres (1-0) which played in Morphett Vale against bottom-ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (0-1). Top-ranked Sturt Sabres won 70-62. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Joel Spear (192-94, college: S.Oregon) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Sam Daly who added 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Sturt Sabres' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American Cameron Coleman (198-92, college: York, NE) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds. Sturt Sabres left bottom position moving up to fourth place in League. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. Sturt Sabres will play against league's leader Central District Lions in Gawler in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers will play at home against West Adelaide Bearcats (#10) and look forward to get finally their first victory.
South Adelaide Panthers' fans can celebrate the first win of their team.They used home court advantage to defeat North Adelaide Rockets (0-1) 92-71 on Saturday. The winners were led by Alexander Starling who had that evening a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists and 8 steals. Even 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Verle Williams Jr. did not help to save the game for North Adelaide Rockets. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. South Adelaide Panthers (1-0) left bottom position moving up to third place in League. Loser North Adelaide Rockets still closes the standings with one game lost. South Adelaide Panthers will meet Eastern Mavericks (#6) in the next round. North Adelaide Rockets will play against Woodville Warriors and look forward to get finally their first victory.
Central District Lions' fans can celebrate the first win of their team.The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Woodville, where they defeated West Adelaide Bearcats (0-1) 83-76. It was a key game for the top position in League. Lual Diing fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Central District Lions' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Central District Lions maintains first position in League with 1-0 record. West Adelaide Bearcats at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. Central District Lions' next round opponent will be Sturt Sabres (#4) in Pasadena. West Adelaide Bearcats will play on the road against Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (#9) in Morphett Vale and look forward to get finally their first victory.
Woodville Warriors' fans can celebrate the first win of their team.The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Norwood Flames (0-1) 90-75 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for Joe Jackson who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists. Norwood Flames' coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Woodville Warriors (1-0) left bottom position moving up to fifth place in League. Loser Norwood Flames still closes the standings with one game lost. Woodville Warriors will face North Adelaide Rockets (#7) in Greenacres in the next round. Norwood Flames will play at home against the league's second-placed Forestville Eagles and look forward to get finally their first victory.

Other games in round 4 were not that significant.
In League Manly Warr. beat Cent.Coast C. on the road 73-66. Winless Maitland M. lost to undefeated Newcastle H. on its own court 69-72. Winless Sydney C. lost to undefeated Sutherland S. in a road game 67-84. Norths Bears rolled over Hornsby S. at home 96-73.
The most impressive performance of 4th round was 11 points and 8 rebounds by Malok Majak of Hornsby S..

South Adelaide Panthers' fans can celebrate the first win of their team.They used home court advantage to defeat North Adelaide Rockets (0-1) 92-71 on Saturday. South Adelaide Panthers forced 20 North Adelaide Rockets turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by North Adelaide Rockets' players. The winners were led by American forward Alexander Starling (198-89, college: BCU) who had that evening a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists and 8 steals and Todd Davies supported him with 21 points and 4 assists. Five South Adelaide Panthers players scored in double figures. Even 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Verle Williams Jr. (180-97) did not help to save the game for North Adelaide Rockets. American forward Tobias Dowdell (201-90, college: ABU) added 12 points and 10 rebounds for lost side.
