We bring you last week's top performances from Australians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.
#1. This week's number one is an experienced former international small forward
Joe Ingles (203-87, currently plays in NBA). Ingles was the major contributor in an
Utah Jazz's victory against the Houston Rockets (15-46) crushing them
112-89 in the NBA last Wednesday.
He scored 21 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists.
The Utah Jazz has a solid 44-16 record this season.
It's Ingles' seventh year with the team.
Ingles has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 12.3ppg, 3.7rpg, 4.4apg, 2FGP: 59.3%(73-123), 3FGP: 48.8%(156-320) and FT: 85.7%.
Ingles played for the Australian senior national team two years ago.
#2. Second place goes to former University international center
Duop Reath (210-96, college:
LSU, currently plays in ABA League). He led his Serbian team
Crvena Zvezda to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Krka (7-18) crushing them
98-57 in the ABA League on Tuesday night.
Reath scored 13 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 4 blocks in a mere 16 minutes.
KK Crvena Zvezda MTS Beograd (22-3) is placed first in the ABA League.
It was his team's 13th consecutive victory in a row.
The Regular Season already ended in the ABA League.
It's Reath's first season with the team.
This year his overall stats are: 5.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 2FGP: 61.2%(30-49), 3FGP: 37.5% in 19 games he played so far.
Reath has a dual citizenship: Australian and South Sudanese.
He played for the Australian university national team in 2017.
#3. The Australian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward
Rhys Vague (206-96, currently plays in Japan). Vague could not help
Kagawa FA (27-29) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the fourth-placed Kagawa FA (27-29) were defeated
89-83 on the road by the second-ranked FE Nagoya in the West group.
Vague recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 18 rebounds. He also added 5 assists.
Vague's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
Vague's total stats this season are: 10.0ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 51.8%, 3FGP: 30.2% and FT: 63.0%.
He played for the Australian national team eight years ago.
#4. Point guard
Patrick Mills (183-88, college:
St.Mary's, CA, currently plays in NBA) managed to help San Antonio Spurs in a 2-point victory against the New Orleans Pelicans (26-34)
110-108 in the NBA in Saturday night's game.
Mills scored 5 points in 20 minutes.
The San Antonio Spurs have 30-29 record this season.
Mills is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his ninth year in Spurs' roster.
He has very impressive stats this season: 11.6ppg, 1.7rpg and 2.4apg in 56 games.
Mills used to play for the Australian national team
back in 2019.
#5. Former international guard
Matthew Dellavedova (193-90, college:
St.Mary's, CA, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the
Cleveland Cavaliers in their game against the Detroit Pistons (18-43) in the NBA.
He scored only 4 points and added 4 passes.
The Cleveland Cavaliers (21-38) were defeated
109-105 in Detroit by the Pistons.
Dellavedova's total stats this season are: 2.7ppg, 1.8rpg and 4.8apg.

#6. Power forward
Nick Kay (206-92, college:
MSU Denver, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a
Real Betis' surprising victory against the fourth-ranked Movil Estudiantes (18-12)
96-82 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night.
Kay scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes.
Coosur Real Betis Sevillais placed 12th in the Liga Endesa.
This year Kay's total stats are: 8.5ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.3apg in 31 games.
He is a former international player as he played for the Australian senior team two years ago.
#7. Former international center
Angus Brandt (208-89, college:
Oregon St., currently plays in Japan) was not able to secure a victory for
Shiga L-Stars (22-34) in their game against Diamond Dolphins (31-23) in the Japanese B1 League.
Brandt recorded 9 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists in 31 minutes.
But Shiga L-Stars (#6) were badly defeated
92-72 at home by the higher-ranked (#3) Diamond Dolphins in the West group.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
Brandt has relatively good stats this year: 12.1ppg, 8.7rpg and 3.4apg in 54 games.

three years ago.
#8. Point guard
Josh Wilcher (178-91, college:
Cent.Wyoming, currently plays in United Kingdom) couldn't help
Bristol Acadamy Flyers (2-4) in their last game on Friday. Despite Wilcher's good performance Bristol Acadamy Flyers was crushed
96-75 in Plymouth by the leading Raiders.
He was the second best scorer with 13 points. Wilcher also added 3 assists.
His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season.
Wilcher has averaged so far 9.8ppg, 1.8rpg and 3.9apg.
He used to play for the Australian national team
back in 2009.
#9. Former international forward
Geremy McKay (201-96, college:
Vanguard, currently plays in New Zealand) couldn't help
Nuggets (0-1) in their game against Saints (1-0) in the New Zealand NBL.
He recorded 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 29 minutes. It was his first game for Nuggets this season.
The bottom-ranked Nuggets were crushed
95-73 on their home court in Dunedin by the second-ranked Saints.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.

Duke, currently plays in NBA) led
Brooklyn Nets to a victory over the Phoenix Suns (42-18)
128-119 in the NBA in Sunday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Irving had a double-double by scoring 34 points and making 12 passes. He also added 6 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) in 35 minutes.
The Brooklyn Nets have a solid 41-20 record this season.
Irving has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 27.3ppg, 5.0rpg, 6.5apg and 1.3spg in 45 games he played so far.
Irving is a naturalized American.
Strangely he has never played in Australia.
#2. Dominic Gilbert (198-G/F-96, college:
UBC, currently plays in Holland) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Den Helder (9-12) crushing them
107-58 in the Dutch DBL in Thursday night's game.
Gilbert recorded 14 points.
Heroes Den Bosch (4-0) is placed second in Places 1-6 group.
So far his team won all four games in the Second Stage.
The Second Stage already ended.
Gilbert's total stats this season are: 7.1ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.5apg.
He has a dual citizenship: Australian and Croatian.
#3. Ryan Beisty (200-F-95, college:
Regis Univ., currently plays in United Kingdom) contributed to a 3-point
Plymouth Raiders' victory against the closely-ranked Sheffield Sharks (2-4)
79-76 in the British BBL last Sunday.
Beisty recorded 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in 21 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Plymouth University Raiders (5-1) is placed first in the BBL.
His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
This year Beisty's total stats are: 3.3ppg and 2.5rpg in 27 games.
He is another player who holds two passports: Australian and British.
#4. Lachlan Anderson (206-F-97, college:
EKU, currently plays in North Macedonia) could not help one of league's weakest teams
TFT Skopje (12-8) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Anderson's good performance TFT Skopje was badly defeated
97-78 in a derby game by the higher-ranked MZT Skopje (#4).
He recorded 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
This season Anderson has very high stats. He averages: 17.2ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.6apg.
#5. Matthew McCarthy (205-PF-96, college:
USF, currently plays in Romania) managed to help CSO Voluntari in a victory against the closely-ranked Targu Jiu (0-3)
99-80 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Sunday night's game.
McCarthy recorded 5 points in 9 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. CSO Voluntari (2-1) is placed second in the Liga Nationala.
The Regular Season already ended.
McCarthy has averaged so far 6.1ppg and 4.3rpg in 18 games.
#6. Marshall Nelson (188-G-94, college:
WBU, currently plays in Iceland) was not able to help
Grindavik in their game against Njardvik in the Icelandic Dominos League.
He recorded 8 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists.
His team was edged
94-91.
This season Nelson has very high stats. He averages: 16.5ppg, 3.9rpg, 5.9apg and 1.4spg.
Nelson has both Belgian and Australian nationalities.
#7. Experienced
Timothy Kearney (202-SG-86, currently plays in Sweden) contributed to a
BC Lulea's victory against the closely-ranked KFUM Jamtland
89-84 in the Swedish Basketligan in Thursday night's game.
He recorded only one point.
Kearney has averaged so far 3.4ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.1apg.

#8. Jesse Hunt (203-F-97, college:
EWU, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for
Rasta Vechta in their game against Crailsheim Merlins in the German BBL. Hunt cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones.
He scored only one point and grabbed 4 rebounds in 21 minutes.
His team was badly defeated by 17 points

Hunt has averaged so far 7.9ppg and 5.9rpg in 16 games.
#9. Damian Prgomet (208-F, college:
SW Baptist, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in a
CAM E.Soler's surprising victory against the third-ranked Zornotza
72-68 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Sunday night.
He scored 16 points.
This season Prgomet has relatively solid stats: 14.2ppg and 6.3rpg.
#10. Hamish Warden (203-C-99, college:
NDC, currently plays in Switzerland) couldn't help
Nyon in their game against Geneve in the Swiss SBL.
He recorded 5 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 32 minutes.
His team was crushed by 42 points
90-48.
Warden has averaged so far 7.0ppg and 2.4rpg in 20 games.
He has dual citizenship: Australian and Swiss.
