Center Duom Dawam (208-C) put on an amazing game in the last round for Mt Gambier and receives a Hoops Agents State League Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had a double-double of 32 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed Sandringham S. (#14, 1-2) with 32-point margin 122-90. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in NBL1. Mt Gambier is placed at 13th position in Australian State League. Mt Gambier is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Dawam had a remarkable 63.2% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Mt Gambier and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Duom Dawam averages just after two games 31.5ppg and 15.0rpg.
Second best performed player last round was Nathan Frost (203-C) of Chelsea G.. He is a center in his first season at Chelsea G.. In the last game Frost recorded impressive double-double of 30 points and 17 rebounds. It was enough for Chelsea G. to edge slightly higher-ranked Hume City B. (#6, 2-3) by 4 points 84-80. This victory allowed Chelsea G. to move up to 8th position in Big V. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Chelsea G. managed to get this year. Frost is one of the most experienced players at Chelsea G. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.3ppg (#8). He also registered 14.0 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to Mackuei Puondak of Hume City B. (#6). Puondak got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . Despite Puondak's great performance Hume City B. lost 80-84 to slightly lower-ranked Chelsea G. (#8, 1-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Hume City B. ranking at the top of Big V, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Puondak could help Hume City B. to bring them higher in the standings. Puondak has a great season in Australia. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.6ppg (2nd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
