Anthony Dell'Orso had an amazing evening in the last round for Victoria Navy and receives a Hoops Agents U20 League Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had the game-high 25 points adding four rebounds and three assists for Victoria Navy in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team WA Black (#12, 0-2) with 16-point margin 94-78. Victoria Navy is placed at 6th position in Australian U20 League. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Victoria Navy won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Dell'Orso had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Victoria Navy and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. Dell'Orso has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 25.0ppg) and averages solid 5.0spg and 90.9% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Taran Armstrong (193-PG-02) of Tasmania. He is international guard in his first season at Tasmania. In the last game Armstrong recorded impressive 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Tasmania to another comfortable win outscoring ACT (0-1) 87-56. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Armstrong is one of the most experienced players at Tasmania and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Dyson Daniels (193-G-03) of Victoria (#5). Daniels scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He was a key player of Victoria, leading his team to a 74-38 easy win against WA Gold (#8, 1-1). Victoria has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Daniels also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Daniels as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
