Preston Le Gassick put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Queensland and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents U20 League Player of the Week award for round 3.
The had the game-high 28 points adding four rebounds and seven assists for Queensland in his team's victory, helping them to crush NSW Blue (#5, 2-2) with 21-point margin 107-86. Queensland maintains the 2nd position in Australian U20 League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Queensland already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Le Gassick had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He just recently signed at Queensland and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Le Gassick has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 5.5apg).
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Sejr Deans of Tasmania. Deans impressed basketball fans with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Tasmania cruised to a 76-66 relatively comfortable win over WA Black (0-4). The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Deans is one of the most experienced players at Tasmania and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Nigerian Joshua Ojianwuna (210-C) of top-ranked NBA Global. Ojianwuna scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He was a key player of NBA Global, leading his team to a 104-47 easy win against SA Blue (#10, 1-3). NBA Global started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Ojianwuna turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Ojianwuna has a very solid season. In 2 games in Australia he scored 7.5ppg.
