Newly promoted Tasmania JackJumpers (NBL) added to their roster 23-year old forward Will Magnay (208cm-107kg-98, college: Tulsa) for season 2021-22. Magnay played last season at Perth Wildcats. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 15 NBL games he recorded 4.7ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.7apg. He helped them to make it to the Australian NBL final after they ended regular season as second best team. Magnay also played for the Pelicans in NBA. But in only one game he did not score anything. The other team he played that season for was BayHawks in U.S. NBA-G-League where in 10 games he averaged 9.1ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.8apg and 1.5bpg.
He represented Australia at the World University Games in Napoli (Italy) two years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 6 games: 9.2ppg, 7.5rpg, 2.0apg, FGP: 60.0%, 3PT: 50.0%, FT: 54.5%.
He has played previously for two other Australia teams: Bullets and Brisbane Capitals.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Australian QBL championship title in 2019. Magnay was voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian QBL Youth Player of the Year in 2019.
He attended University of Tulsa until 2018 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.
