JackJumpers sign Josh Magette, ex Darussafaka

Tasmania JackJumpers (NBL) signed 31-year old American international point guard Josh Magette (185cm-73kg-89, college: UAH) for upcoming 2021-22 season. Magette joins another USA player Josh Adams who is already in the roster.
He played last season at Darussafaka in Turkish BSL league. In 21 games he had 9.7ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.1apg and 1.4spg. He also played 2 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 10.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 7.0apg and 1.5spg.
The previous (2020) summer he played at Eberlein Drive in U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament.
In 2013 (a year after he left the college) he was drafted by Los Angeles D-Fenders (D-League) in second round (23rd overall).
He attended University of Alabama in Huntsville (NCAA Div.II) until 2012 and it will be his tenth season in pro basketball.
Magette has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016. He has been regularly called to USA Senior National Team since 2020.
Magette is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Croatia (Cedevita), Greece (Koroivos), Holland (Landstede), Spain (Gran Canaria), NBA (Golden State Warriors and Orlando Magic), NBA G League (College Park S. and Lakeland Magic) and NBA Summer League (San Antonio Spurs).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Dutch Eredivisie Defensive Player of the Year back in 2013.
