Venkatesha Jois (ex Dandenong R.) agreed terms with Helios Suns

Helios Suns Domzale (Liga Nova KBM) inked 28-year old Australian 203cm forward Venkatesha Jois (college: EWU) for upcoming season. He played last summer at Dandenong Rangers in Australian NBL1 South. Jois managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In four NBL1 North games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.0ppg, 10.3rpg, 3.3apg and 2.5spg.
Part of last season he spent at Cairns Taipans (NBL) in Australia where in 10 games he averaged 6.4ppg and 5.0rpg. He also played for KK Pirot in Serbian KLS. In 7 games he had 10.0ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3spg.
Jois is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to seven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America). Jois has played previously professionally in Croatia (Osijek), Estonia (Tartu), Germany (Rasta Vechta), Japan (Shiga L-Stars), New Zealand and NBA G League (Memphis Hustle).
Among many awards he won NBA G League Midwest Division championship title in 2020. He was voted to CoSIDA NCAA Division I Academic All-District 8 1st Team back in 2016.
Jois attended Eastern Washington University until 2016 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
