After 10 rounds played we can already see who rules in the State League and who belongs to weaker ones. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Sturt Sabres (1-1) in Greenacres on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by North Adelaide Rockets (3-0) 90-73. North Adelaide Rockets looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Brad Rathjen (188-1988, college: NIACC) scored 22 points to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Terry Winn III (201-1995, college: UTRGV) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Jacob Rigoni (198-1998, college: Quinnipiac) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. North Adelaide Rockets maintains first position in League with 3-0 record. Sturt Sabres at the other side dropped to the sixth place with one game lost. North Adelaide Rockets are looking forward to face Eastern Mavericks (#10) in Mt. Barker in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sturt Sabres will play on the road against Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (#9) in Morphett Vale and are hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked South Adelaide Panthers (2-1) against eighth ranked West Adelaide Bearcats (2-2) on Monday night. Visiting South Adelaide Panthers were defeated by West Adelaide Bearcats in a tough game in Woodville 78-82. American guard Nate Sheppard (198, college: Malone) notched 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Nikolas Desantis supported him with 21 points and 5 rebounds. West Adelaide Bearcats' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 25 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists by American guard Jeremy Smith (190-1991, college: Nicholls St.) did not help to save the game for South Adelaide Panthers. West Adelaide Bearcats moved-up to fifth place in League. South Adelaide Panthers at the other side keep the second position with one game lost. West Adelaide Bearcats will play against Norwood Flames (#8) in Marden in the next round. South Adelaide Panthers will play on the road against Central District Lions (#7) in Gawler and hope to get back on the winning track.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 10:
In League winless Eastern M. were destroyed by Woodville W. on the opponent's court 96-60. Forestville E. outscored C.District L. in a home game 104-78. Willetton T. rolled over Eastern Suns on the road 79-47.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 25 points and 8 assists by Adam Doyle of Forestville E..

Norwood F. - Southern T. 82-73

Norwood Flames has finally registered their first victory this season after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (1-3) 82-73 on Monday. Norwood Flames dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Noarlunga City Southern Tigers' 30. Forward Raymond Harding (198, college: Southeast CC) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Matthew Lycett (194-1990) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Machar Machar produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Vionte Daniels added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Four Norwood Flames and five Noarlunga City Southern Tigers players scored in double figures. Norwood Flames (1-2) left bottom position moving up to eighth place in League. Loser Noarlunga City Southern Tigers dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Norwood Flames will meet at home higher ranked West Adelaide Bearcats (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers will play against Sturt Sabres (#6) and hope to win that game.

Rather expected game in Flinders Park where bottom-ranked Eastern Mavericks (0-2) were crushed by sixth ranked Woodville Warriors (2-1) 96-60 on Monday. Woodville Warriors dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Eastern Mavericks' 36. They outrebounded Eastern Mavericks 53-26 including a 25-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Woodville Warriors looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Eastern Mavericks' players. American guard Jawan Stepney (192-1995, college: CWU) fired 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Center Devon McGee (205-1997) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. Stepney is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Woodville Warriors players scored in double figures. Woodville Warriors' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Owen Raneberg produced 18 points and 5 rebounds and Marko Miskovic added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Woodville Warriors moved-up to third place in League. Loser Eastern Mavericks still closes the standings with two games lost. Woodville Warriors will meet at home Forestville Eagles (#4) in the next round. Eastern Mavericks will play against the league's leader North Adelaide Rockets (#1) and hope to get finally their first victory.

Everything could happen in Goodwood at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Forestville Eagles and 5th ranked Central District Lions had identical 1-1 record. This time Forestville Eagles used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Gawler 104-78 on Monday night. Strangely Central District Lions outrebounded Forestville Eagles 47-33 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Point guard Adam Doyle (176-1991) fired 25 points and 8 assists for the winners. Forward Brandon Brine (198-1991, college: Lethbridge) chipped in 14 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Forestville Eagles players scored in double figures. American forward Tobias Dowdell (201-1990, college: ABU) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Bijan Johnson (183-1997, college: NM Military) added 7 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Forestville Eagles (2-1) moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Central District Lions dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Forestville Eagles will meet higher ranked Woodville Warriors (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Central District Lions will play against the league's second-placed South Adelaide Panthers (#2) and hope to win that game.

But Suns were not able to use a home court advantage and were rolled over by the opponent from Willetton 79-47 on Monday night. Tigers held Suns to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 36.2 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Suns 43-22 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naturalized Scottish power forward Michael Vigor (206-1990) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners.
