Lakeside Lightning (NBL1 West) inked 32-year old American 195cm forward Donald Vaughn (college: VWU). Vaughn moved there from Vahakni City in Armenian Caucasus BL. In 20 games he averaged impressive 16.3ppg, 10.2rpg, 2.5apg, 1.8spg and 1.1bpg last season. He helped them to make it to the Caucasus Basketball League final. Vaughn also played for WCL Team (Caucasus BL) in Armenia.
He has played also professionally in TTBL (Beltway Bombers).
Vaughn graduated from Virginia Wesleyan University in 2012 and it is his tenth season in pro basketball.
His game is described as: Plays extremely hard and with great intensity. He is a team leader with hustle plays and transition baskets. Outstanding on the defensive.
