Canberra-Capitals (WNBL) added to their roster 32-year old American swingman Alison Schwagmeyer-Belger (180cm-1990, college: Quincy). Schwagmeyer-Belger played last season at Crvena Zvezda in Serbian 1 ZLS. In 6 games she recorded 10.3ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.5spg. She also played 5 games in Eurocup where she averaged 9.8ppg, 4.4rpg and 2.4apg.
Schwagmeyer-Belger is quite experienced player. Thanks to Schwagmeyer-Belger's pro career she managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America) in four different countries. She has played previously professionally in Germany, Romania (Alexandria), Spain (Cadi La Seu) and Australia (Sydney Flames, Perth Lynx, Suns and Lightning). Her team won Australian SBL Regular Season in 2018 and 2019.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she was voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian WNBL Sixth Player of the Year in 2020.
Schwagmeyer-Belger graduated from Quincy University in 2012 and it will be her eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player.
