East Perth Eagles (NBL One West) signed experienced 36-year old American power forward Lee Roberts (203cm-91kg-1987, college: Findlay, OH). It is actually his comeback to Eagles as he has played here before. Roberts just played at Penarol in Uruguayan LUB league. In 30 games he had very impressive stats: 15.1ppg and 8.2rpg last season. He also played 8 games in BCL Americas where he recorded 12.6ppg and 5.8rpg. With the Eagles in 2022, he averaged 17.6ppg, 8.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.7spg in 10 games.
Roberts is quite experienced player. He has played in nine different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). Roberts has played previously professionally in Argentina (Libertad, Olimpico and San Martin), Denmark, Germany (SG Braunschweig), Israel (Ironi Nes Ziona), Italy (RO Virtus), Japan (Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano), Venezuela (Bucaneros), Uruguay (Aguada) and Australia (Wanneroo and Redbacks). His team won GLIAC Tournament in 2007 and 2009. He was voted to Latinbasket.com Argentinian LigaA All-Imports Team back in 2014 and 2016.
He graduated from University of Findlay in 2009 and it is his 14th (!!!) season as a professional player.
