Isaac White's triple-double lands him NBL One Hoops Agents Player of the Week award- July 3, 2023
The 25-year old player recorded a triple-double of 37 points adding also 12 rebounds and 11 assists, while his team crushed SC Phoenix (#9, 8-8) with 20-point margin 97-77. Mackay M. maintains the 6th position in Australian NBL One. Mackay M. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-8 record. In the team's last game White had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He has many years of experience at Mackay M., through which he has constantly improved. Former California Baptist University star has very solid stats this year. White is league's best scorer averaging so far 32.8ppg. White is in league's top in and averages impressive 2.8spg and 56.6% FGP. The second best player in last round's games was young American Scott Stone (193-G-1995) of Western PS. Stone had a very good evening with 52 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Western PS lost that game 110-123 to the higher-ranked McKinnon C. (#6, 10-7). Western PS managed to keep the same 10th spot in the standings. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Western PS managed to get this year. Stone is one of the most experienced players at Western PS and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.8ppg (#6). He also registered 5.2 boards per game. Third on the list of top players last round was guard William Hickey (194-G-1999) of Illawarra H. 2 (#9). Hickey got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds and five assists. He was a key player of Illawarra H. 2, leading his team to a 102-84 easy win against the lower-ranked Bankstown B. (#12, 4-13). Illawarra H. 2 needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 9 lost games. Hickey has a very solid season. In 12 games in Australia he scored 24.2ppg. He also has 9.4rpg, 5.4apg, 2.8spg, 1.4bpg and FGP: 50.4%. Other top performing players last week: 4.
