Roberts' pro career starts at Cairns

Cairns Taipans (NBL) tabbed 24-year old American 206cm forward Josh Roberts for new season. Roberts just graduated from Manhattan (NCAA). In 27 games he averaged 12.2ppg, 9.8rpg and 1.9bpg last season. He can count that season as a very successful as was awarded All-MAAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year and voted to All-MAAC Third Team.
Roberts started his college career at St. John's University (NCAA) where he played three seasons. Then he moved to Manhattan College (NCAA). His high school career he had spent at Montverde Academy in Montverde, FL, which he joined from Charles Henderson High.
So his pro career will start in Australia.
