Jay Mackenzie
Forward Jay Mackenzie (F) had an amazing evening in the last round for Camberwell, receiving a Hoops Agents Big V Player of the Week award for round 36.
The player recorded a triple-double of 27 points adding also 18 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team in a lost game to McKinnon C. (#5, 13-8) 101-107. Camberwell maintains the 7th position in Australian Big V. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 15 games and recorded just six victories. In the team's last game Mackenzie had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Camberwell and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Jay Mackenzie has solid league stats. He is in league's top in assists (9th best: 3.9apg) and averages impressive 2.5bpg and 55.6% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was young American Gerrard Newby (196-F-1995) of Keysborough C.. Newby had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he led Keysborough C. to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Blackburn V. (#8, 5-16) 100-66. Keysborough C.'s 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 14-7 record is not bad at all. Newby is one of the most experienced players at Keysborough C. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Scott Stone (193-G-1995) of Western PS (#10). Stone got into 30-points club by scoring 40 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds and five assists. Despite Stone's great performance Western PS lost 105-111 to the higher-ranked Hume City B. (#2, 16-5). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Western PS can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-19 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Stone has individually a great season in Australia. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 28.9ppg (3rd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
