Perry Lakes Hawks (NBL One West) agreed terms with 26-year old American forward Jaylen Key (203cm-104kg-1997, college: New Orleans) for new 2024 season. Key just played at Umnugovi in Mongolian MBL league. In 7 games he had 11.3ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.6apg last season. The last summer he played at Roar in Australian NBL One North where in 19 games he recorded very impressive stats: 22.7ppg, 8.6rpg and 1.8apg.
Key's career allowed him to visit three different continents. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Australia and of course North America. Key has played previously professionally in Cyprus (Etha), Portugal (Illiabum and Sport Lisboa Benfica Sub23) and The Basketball Tournament (Ohio 1804).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the Portuguese League Semifinals in 2021. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Portuguese Proliga Honorable Mention back in 2021.
Key graduated from University of New Orleans in 2020 and it is his fourth season as a professional player. He played also for Northern Illinois University for 4 years.
