The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Central District Lions in Mt. Barker on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by Eastern Mavericks 82-80. Eastern M. made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 C.District L. turnovers. American center Lachie Hunter (-1999, college: Ohlone CC) fired 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Moses Nuangki (188-2000, college: LSUE) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists. Eastern Mavericks' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American swingman Branden Jenkins (196-1994, college: TxWes, agency: AltusBasket) produced 26 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Eastern Mavericks is looking forward to face Forestville E. in Goodwood in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Central District Lions will play at home against Norwood F. and are hoping to win this game.

Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Alexander Starling (198-1989, college: BCU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Samuel Johns contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Issac Abergut (201-1998, college: Shawnee St.) answered with 21 points and 7 rebounds for Southern T.South Adelaide Panthers will play against W.Adelaide B. in Woodville in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers will play at home against Woodville W. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game was played in Pasadena. Sturt Sabres faced Forestville Eagles. Host Sturt Sabres defeated guests from Goodwood 100-84. Jacob Rigoni stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. At the losing side Daniel Johnson responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Forestville Eagles' coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Sturt Sabres will meet N.Adelaide R. in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Forestville Eagles will play against Eastern M. and hope to win that game.

In the last two games of round 1 W.Adelaide B. lost to Woodville W. in Flinders Park 93-104. Norwood F. beat N.Adelaide R. at home 92-78.

It was a great shooting night for Woodville W. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. American guard Sharif Black (185-1996, college: Bemidji St.) stepped up and scored 39 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and center Devon McGee (205-1996) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds.
