It is actually her comeback to Flames as she has played here before. She just played at Townsville Fire in the WNBL. In 22 games she had very impressive stats: 15.4ppg, 4.4rpg, 4.5apg and 2.5spg (in top 2) last season. Whitcomb helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. 2023-24 was a great season as she was named to Australiabasket.com All-Australian WNBL Second Team. In 2023 with Seattle Storm (WNBA), she averaged 9.7ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.9apg. She represented Australia at the FIBA World Cup for Women in Sydney (Australia) two years ago. Her team won Bronze and her stats at that event were 8 games: 11.0ppg, 2.3rpg, 3.6apg, 1.4spg, FGP: 47.4%, 3PT: 32.7%, FT: 76.2%. Whitcomb is quite experienced player. She has played in six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). Whitcomb has played previously professionally also in France (Villeneuve and Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration), Germany (TSV 1880), Slovakia (Nova Ves), Turkey (Galatasaray) and WNBA (New York Liberty and Seattle Storm). She won WNBA championship title in 2018 and 2020. Whitcomb was voted to Australiabasket.com All-Australian WNBL Defensive Player of the Year back in 2016 and 2017. She graduated from University of Washington in 2010 and it is her 14th (!!!) season as a professional player.
