Cougars smashed Steelers in McKinnon 115-84. McKinnon outrebounded Western PS 44-30 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. McKinnon shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 55.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Western PS's players. American guard Adam Anderson (193, college: St.Rose, NY) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Mongolian forward Steve Wooten Jr. (198-1998, college: Bethesda) contributed with 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American center Russell Permenter (203-1988, college: Providence) replied with 18 points and 9 rebounds for Western PS. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Steelers will play next round against Melbourne Uni trying to get back on the winning streak. Cougars will try to continue on its current victory against Wyndham in Werribee.
Storm recorded a loss in Bellarine. Hosts were rolled over by Jets 98-77. Canadian guard Joshua Yorke-Frazer (183-1995, college: Seneca) scored 25 points, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Benjamon Robertson chipped in 18 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. American forward Kavione Green (195, college: Bloomfield) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jets will play against Blackburn in Melbourne in the next round. Storm will play at home against Camberwell to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game in Melbourne was also quite interesting. Warriors played at the court of Vikings. Warriors managed to secure a 8-point victory 117-109 on Saturday. Malik Colvin-Seldon notched a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists by Kortland Martin did not help to save the game for Blackburn. Vikings' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Warriors will meet Keysborough on the road in the next round. Vikings will play against Hume City and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 2: Wyndham beat Melbourne Uni on the road 96-86. Keysborough won against Melbourne Uni on its own court 90-85. Shepparton outscored Camberwell in a road game 100-79. Hume City rolled over Keysborough at home 91-65.
The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals by Carlo Camp of Hume City.
Blackburn - Pakenham 109-117The game in Melbourne was also quite interesting.

Pakenham dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to
Vikings's 40 and made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game.
