After 9 rounds played we can already see who rules in the NBL One and who belongs to weaker ones. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Rollers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Rollers defeated bottom-ranked South West Metro Pirates in Gold Coast 111-94. Gold Coast R. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to South West Metro Pirates's 44 and made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Gold Coast R. looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The former international guard Jason Cadee (186-1991) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners and forward Elijah Kamu (196-2005) chipped in 26 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-1991, college: Pittsburgh) with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 3 other teams. SW Metro P. at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with 6 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

A very close game took place in Mandurah between Buccaneers and Magic. Leader Buccaneers (3-0) got a very close victory on the road over 7th ranked Magic (2-3). Buccaneers managed to escape with a 1-point win 104-103 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Magic. The best player for the winners was Johny Narkle who scored 32 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Joel Murray who recorded 24 points and 5 assists. Buccaneers have a solid series of three victories in a row. Geraldton B. keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Joondalup W. and Maitland. Loser Magic keeps the seventh place with three games lost. Geraldton B. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mandurah will play against Cockburn C. (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 9: winless Penrith lost to Cent.Coast C. on the opponent's court 95-112. Winless Hornsby S. unfortunately lost to Inner WB in a home game 87-104. Canberra G. managed to beat Newcastle F. on the road 67-60. Winless USC Rip was defeated by SD Spartans on its own court 78-85. Bendigo beat Casey in a road game 81-79. Keilor T. won against Geelong S. at home 103-97. Ballarat M. managed to outperform Mt Gambier on the opponent's court 105-94. Winless Melbourne T. was rolled over Knox R. in a home game 55-87.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by Jalen Gibbs of Keilor T..
