Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Round 4 most important game was a victory of Hume City over 8th ranked Bellarine 81-73 on Sunday night. Hume City Broncos made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Scott Stone (193-1995, college: St.Cloud St.) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import guard Malik McKinney (190, college: West Liberty) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Hume City Broncos' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Kavione Green (195, college: Bloomfield) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for Storm. Hume City have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sunbury. Bellarine at the other side keeps the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with Melbourne Uni. Hume City is looking forward to face Western PS (#12) in Western Port in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bellarine will play at home against the league's leader Wyndham (#1) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Important game to mention about took place in Keysborough. Sixth ranked Jets (3-2) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging much higher ranked Cougars (4-2) 76-73 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cougars. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian guard Joshua Yorke-Frazer (183-1995, college: Seneca) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Joel Coffey who added 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Gerrard Newby (196-1995, college: Union, KY) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Cougars' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sunbury moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Hume City. Keysborough at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. Sunbury will play against Shepparton (#7) on the road in the next round. Keysborough will play against the league's second-placed McKinnon (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Camberwell's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Steelers (0-5) 79-74 on Saturday. The winners were led by Christopher Elder who scored that evening 26 points. Even a double-double of 27 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks by Russell Permenter did not help to save the game for Western PS. Steelers' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Camberwell maintains tenth position with 1-3 record. It was Western PS's fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Blackburn. Camberwell will meet at home higher ranked Pakenham (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
