East Perth Eagles (NBL One West) inked experienced 37-year old American 203cm power forward Lee Roberts (college: Findlay, OH, agency: BIG). It is actually his comeback to Eagles as he has played here before. Roberts moved there from Trouville in Uruguayan LUB league. In 26 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.3ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg last season. The last season he played at Penarol (also in LUB) where in 30 games he averaged remarkable 15.1ppg and 8.2rpg. He also played 8 games in BCL Americas where he had 12.6ppg and 5.8rpg.
Roberts is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to nine different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). Roberts has played previously professionally in Argentina (Libertad, Olimpico and San Martin), Denmark, Germany (Braunschweig), Israel (Ironi Nes Ziona), Italy (RO Virtus), Japan (Brave Warriors), Venezuela (Bucaneros), Uruguay (Aguada) and Australia (Wanneroo and Redbacks). His team won GLIAC Tournament in 2007 and 2009. He was voted to Latinbasket.com Argentinian LigaA All-Imports Team back in 2014 and 2016.
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Eagles.
Roberts graduated from University of Findlay in 2009 and it is his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
His game is described as: Athletic big post player that loves to clean up the offensive glass and look for easy dunk put backs. Undertands his role well and will set screens and impact a game in so many ways. Improving jump shot out to the 3pt line.
