28-year old American point guard Anthony Williams (178-PG-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Keysborough Cougars and receives a Hoops Agents Big V Player of the Week award for round 7.
He got a double-double of 16 points and 18 assists, while his team outclassed Shepparton (#8, 4-6) with 31-point margin 106-75. Cougars maintains the 2nd position in Australian Big V. They are still close to the very top. Keysborough would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-2 record. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Cougars's top player in his first season with the team. Clark Atlanta University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Williams is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 5.8apg). Worth to mention Williams played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Joshua Yorke-Frazer (183-G-1995) of Sunbury Jets. He is Canadian guard in his first season at Sunbury. In the last game Yorke-Frazer recorded an impressive 33 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Jets was edged by the higher-ranked Pakenham (#4, 5-3) 83-79. Sunbury managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-5 record. Yorke-Frazer is one of the most experienced players at Sunbury and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.9ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 5.9rpg and 3.2apg. Former Seneca College star Yorke-Frazer is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to guard James Legan (190-G-1987) of Blackburn Vikings (#11). Legan scored 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Vikings, leading his team to a 108-88 easy win against Western PS (#12, 0-9). Blackburn can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-7 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Legan has individually a great season in Australia. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.8ppg (best scorer).
