Guard Zac Triplett (196-G-2001) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Logan Thunder, receiving a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 25.
The 22-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Townsville H. (#13, 2-6) 93-85. Thunder is placed at 2nd position in Australian NBL One. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Logan T. will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. In the team's last game Triplett had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He just recently signed at Thunder, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Zac Triplett averages this season 20.0ppg and 6.5rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Sebit Reath (208-F/C-1998) of East Perth Eagles. Reath had a very good evening with a double-double of 31 points and 13 rebounds. Of course Eagles cruised to a 95-86 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Joondalup W. (#3, 8-2). East Perth E.'s 7th position in West has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Reath is a newcomer at East Perth E., but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Abrom De'Quan (188-SG-1996) of Perry Lakes Hawks (#8). De'Quan showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Hawks, leading his team to a 103-85 easy win against the lower-ranked Cockburn C. (#13, 3-10). Perry Lakes H. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in West. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 6 lost games. De'Quan has a very solid season. In 12 games in Australia he scored 21.6ppg. He also has 5.0rpg, 4.7apg, 2.3spg, a FGP of 60.2% and 3PT: 41.1%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
