Top ranked Devils (10-2) recorded its second loss in McKinnon on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Cougars (8-5) 100-93. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Devils. McKinnon made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Wyndham helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Shaquille Maharaj (196-1997, college: Camosun) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Mitchell Barry (190) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Troyce Manassa (193-1993, college: SSU) who recorded 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. McKinnon moved-up to third place. Wyndham at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. McKinnon are looking forward to face Pakenham (#5) at home in the next round. Wyndham will play against Blackburn (#11) in Melbourne and is hoping to win this game.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Warriors. Russell Permenter stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The best for the losing side was Tiras Morton with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Warriors' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Western PS moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Blackburn. Loser Warriors dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Hume City. Western PS will meet higher ranked Shepparton (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pakenham will play against McKinnon where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
