41 points scored by 27 year old South Sudanese center Matur Maker (208-C-1998) resulted in being the highest scoring player of the day in the world. His team the Rockets lost to the Darwin Salties 105 to 112. On top of that he also recorded 13 rebounds and 4 assists that evening.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eight different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Australian and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Canada (Athlete Institute and Prolific Prep North), Italy, New Zealand (Rams and Giants), Slovenia (Zlatorog), Switzerland (Neuchatel), NBA Summer League (Denver Nuggets), and NBA G League (RGV Vipers).
He was a member of the Australian Under 19 National Team back in 2016.
Among many awards he won the Australian NBL championship title in 2022. Maker was selected to the Eurobasket.com Slovenian League All-Defensive Team as well as the All-Slovenian League Honorable Mention back in 2019.
