Naturalized South Sudanese Matur Maker (208-C-1998) had a great game in the last round for Rockhampton Rockets and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 29.
The 25-year old center had a double-double of 41 points and 13 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Darwin S. (#2, 7-2) 105-112. Rockets moved-up to the 8th position in Australian NBL One. Rockhampton is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 4th lost game this season out of 8 games. In the team's last game Maker had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Rockets, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Matur Maker averages this season 24.2ppg and 13.2rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young center Glenn Morison (208-C-1999) of league's best team Canberra Gunners. Morison impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 31 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Canberra Gunners cruised to a 83-72 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Norths B. (#9, 7-6). Of course Canberra G. still keep East's top spot. His team belongs to top of the standings with 12-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Morison is one of the most experienced players at Canberra G. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Maltese Nelson Kahler (206-C/F-1994, agency: BIG) of Sunshine Coast Rip City (#15). Kahler scored 22 points and grabbed 20 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Rip City, leading his team to a 91-65 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Townsville H. (#14, 2-8). USC Rip needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in North. Their record at this point is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Kahler has a very solid season. In 9 games in Australia he scored 14.8ppg. He also has 9.6rpg, 1.4bpg and a FGP of 72.0%. Nelson Kahler has also Australian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
