Mike Adewunmi was the second best scorer of the day in the world yesterday with the 43 points he had in the Lakeside Lightning

43 points scored by 26 year old American guard Mike Adewunmi (196-G-1999, college: UTRGV) made him the second highest scoring player of the day in the world. His team the Lightning beat the Perth Redbacks 109 to 87. He also added 10 rebounds and 7 assists that evening.
He is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in four different countries. Adewunmi tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Africa and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Bulgaria (Shumen), Madagascar (Club Omnisports Police Nationale), and North Macedonia (KK Kumanovo 2009).
Among many awards he played in the final of the AAC Tournament in 2018. He was selected to the SportsDayHS Class 5A District 10-5A First Team back in 2017. Adewunmi was also selected as the All-NTJCAC Honorable Mention back in 2019.
He was also awarded Player of the Week in the Australian NBL1.
