American-Nigerian Guard Mike Adewunmi (196-G-1999) had an amazing evening in the last round for Lakeside Lightning, receiving a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 31.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 43 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Perth R. (#12, 4-12) with 22-point margin 109-87. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in West. Lightning maintains the 11th position in their group in the Australian NBL One. Lakeside L. is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-9 record. In the team's last game Adewunmi had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Lightning, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Mike Adewunmi averages this season 21.5ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American C.J. Turnage (201-F/G-1995) of Joondalup City Wanneroo Wolves. Turnage had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Wanneroo was edged by the lower-ranked East Perth E. (#6, 9-6) 94-90. Despite lost game Joondalup W. moved up to 3rd position in West. His team's 9-4 record is not bad at all. Turnage is one of the most experienced players at Joondalup W. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.7ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 7.8rpg and 3.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was South Sudanese center Matur Maker (208-C-1998) of Rockhampton Rockets (#5). Maker showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 15 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Rockets, leading his team to a 97-88 win against the lower-ranked Townsville H. (#14, 2-9). Rockhampton needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in North. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 5 lost games. Maker has a great season in Australia. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.9rpg (2nd best). Matur Maker has also Australian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
