Big V top team - Devils (11-2) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Vikings (2-11) in Melbourne 116-107. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Troyce Manassa (193-1993, college: SSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Adetomi Ayilara (208-1998, college: Cloud County) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard James Legan (190-1987, college: ECU) replied with 29 points and 8 rebounds for Blackburn. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wyndham maintains first position with 11-2 record. Blackburn lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Western PS. Wyndham are looking forward to face Shepparton (#5) on the road in the next round. Blackburn will play against Sunbury (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Keysborough maintains second position with 10-4 record behind leader Collingwood. Hume City at the other side dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. Keysborough will play against Western PS (#12) in Western Port in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hume City will play at home against Pakenham (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between fourth ranked Cougars (9-5) and 6th ranked Warriors (6-6) in McKinnon on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Cougars outscored guests from Pakenham 112-67. Steve Wooten Jr notched 32 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his twelve free throws !!!) to lead the effort. Even 13 points and 7 rebounds by Matt Berkec did not help to save the game for Pakenham. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. McKinnon moved-up to third place. Pakenham lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. McKinnon will meet at home Melbourne Uni (#8) in the next round where they are favorite.
