24-year old American point guard Joel Murray (183-PG-1999, agency: Slash Sports) had a great game in the last round for Mandurah Magic and receives a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 34.
He had the game-high 47 points adding eight rebounds and nine assists for Mandurah M. in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Warwick S. (#8, 7-9) 107-103. Magic maintains the 5th position in their group in the Australian NBL One. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Mandurah will need more victories to improve their 10-6 record. In the team's last game Murray had a remarkable 82.4% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He just recently signed at Magic, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Long Beach State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Murray is league's best scorer averaging so far 32.9ppg. Murray is in league's top in assists (7th best: 7.4apg) and averages solid 2.5spg,58.5% FGP and 41.3% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Rhys Vague (206-F-1996) of Cockburn Cougars. He is international forward in his first season at Cockburn C.. In the last game Vague recorded an impressive double-double of 37 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Cougars lost that game 74-100 to the higher-ranked Lakeside L. (#10, 5-9). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in West. Cockburn C. dropped in the standings to 14th position. 14 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Cougars managed to get this year. Vague is one of the most experienced players at Cockburn C. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Glenn Morison (208-C-1999) of league's leader Canberra Gunners. Morison showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, 15 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Canberra Gunners, leading his team to a 97-96 win against the lower-ranked Inner WB (#6, 9-6). Canberra G. confirms their top position in East. Morison has a very solid season. In 16 games in Australia he scored 16.8ppg. He also has 9.7rpg, 3.1apg, 1.5bpg and a FGP of 56.6%.
