25-year old Mongolian forward Steve Wooten Jr. (198-F-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for McKinnon Cougars and receives a Hoops Agents Big V Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had the game-high 32 points adding seven rebounds and two assists for McKinnon in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Pakenham (#7, 6-6) with 45-point margin 112-67. Cougars is placed at 3rd position in Australian Big V. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. McKinnon will need more victories to improve their 9-5 record. In the team's last game Wooten Jr. had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Cougars, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Bethesda University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Wooten Jr. is in league's top in points (9th best: 21.1ppg).

Second best performed player last round was Gerrard Newby (196-F-1995) of league's second-best Keysborough Cougars. He is American forward in his 6th season at Keysborough. In the last game Newby recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he led Cougars to another comfortable win 96-83 over the lower-ranked Hume City (#6, 6-5) being unquestionably team leader. Keysborough's second position in the standings has not changed. His team's 10-4 record is not bad at all. Newby is one of the most experienced players at Keysborough and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.1ppg (#5). He also registered 12.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Paul Brotherson (197-F-1989) of Western Port Steelers (#12). Brotherson showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Brotherson's great performance the Steelers lost 79-86 to the higher-ranked Shepparton (#5, 7-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Western PS can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-11 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Brotherson has a very solid season. In 6 games in Australia he scored 17.2ppg. He also has 8.0rpg and a FGP of 61.2%. Paul Brotherson has also Australian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
