Kody Stattmann was the top scorer in the whole world yesterday having an unbelievable 43 points in his last game in the Cairns Marlins

43 points scored by 24 year old guard Kody Stattmann (202-G-2000, college: Virginia) gave him the award of highest scoring player of the day in the world. His team the Cairns Marlins beat the South West Metro Pirates 98 to 85. He also grabbed 7 rebounds that game. Stattmann is the 2nd best scorer in the league averaging over 27 points and almost 7 rebounds per game.
He has played previously for two other Australian teams: Bullets and Seahawks.
He represented Australia at the World Cup Under 19 in Crete (Greece) five years ago. During this event he scored an average of 10.3 points per game and had 3 rebounds per game.
Among many awards his team won the ACC Regular Season in 2021. He was selected to the Australiabasket.com All-FIBA Oceania Under 17 First Team back in 2017.
