International Swingman Sam McDaniel (198-G/F-1995) had a very impressive game in the last round for Brisbane Capitals and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 40.
The 29-year old swingman had a double-double of 35 points and 11 rebounds, while his team outclassed Townsville H. (#14, 4-11) with 27-point margin 106-79. Brisbane Capitals maintains the 4th position in their group in the Australian NBL One. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Brisbane C. will need more victories to improve their 9-5 record. In the team's last game McDaniel had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Brisbane Capitals, through which he has constantly improved. Sam McDaniel averages this season 22.8ppg, 7.5rpg and 4.5apg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Fabijan Krslovic (203-F-1995) of West Adelaide Bearcats. Krslovic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 37 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he led Bearcats to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Southern T. (#9, 2-13) 96-62. W.Adelaide B.'s 5th position in Central has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 8-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Krslovic is one of the most experienced players at W.Adelaide B. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was South Sudanese Matur Maker (208-C-1998) of Rockhampton Rockets (#8). Maker got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds . He was a key player of Rockets, leading his team to a 118-89 easy win against the lower-ranked NGC Seahawks (#12, 5-10). The chances of Rockhampton ranking at the top of North, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Maker could help Rockhampton R. to bring them higher in the standings. Maker has a great season in Australia. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.9rpg (3rd best). Matur Maker has also Australian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
