This was an impressive game for American Mandrell Worthy (191-SG-1996, college: Azusa Pacific, agency: Warren Sports International) as the 28 year old shooting guard had 34 points making him tied for second highest scorer in the world when his team the Norths Soul Sports Bears beat the Sutherland Sutherland Sharks 88 to 80. On top of that he also recorded 7 rebounds and 4 assists that evening. He is the 7th best scorer in the league averaging over 25 points and almost 6 rebounds per game.
He participated in the Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas 3 years ago. It helped him to get more exposure and attract teams overases. For new university graduates looking to enter pro basketball this is a great first step in the right direction!
He has played previously professionally in TBL (San Diego Sharks).
Among many awards his team made it to the PacWest Tournament Semifinals in 2018 and 2019. Worthy was selected as the All-the Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas Honorable Mention back in 2021.
