The Regular Season in NBL One is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 5 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Top ranked Mount Gambier Pioneers (16-5) recorded its fifth loss in Mt Gambier on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourteenth ranked Tigers (8-12) 91-86. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Mount Gambier Pioneers. Melbourne T. made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The former international guard Tom Wilson (195-1997, college: SMU) fired 30 points and 8 assists for the winners. Forward Jack Purchase (203-1995, college: Hawaii) chipped in 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Akech Aliir (204-2000) produced a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds for lost side. Melbourne T. maintains fourteenth place with 8-12 record. Mt.Gambier at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Another exciting game was between third ranked Joondalup W. and their biggest opponent Tigers where Joondalup W. (15-5) beat Tigers (14-6) on the road with 17-point difference 95-78. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jacob Wiley (201-1998, college: Marian, IN, agency: Helping Ballers) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. Jonathan Wade contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Marshall Nelson (184-1994, college: Wayland Baptist, agency: BIG) answered with 18 points, 5 assists and 5 steals for Tigers. Tigers' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Joondalup W. moved-up to second place. Willetton T. lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with six games lost. They share it with Sandringham S. and BA CoE. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
A very close game took place in Wonthella between Flames and Buccaneers. Eighth ranked Flames (11-9) got a very close victory on the road over leader Buccaneers (18-2). Flames managed to escape with a 1-point win 94-93 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Buccaneers. It was a great evening for Devondrick Walker who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 5 assists. At the losing side Nikolas DeSantis responded with 25 points. Buccaneers' coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rockingham F. moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Warwick S. and Waverley F. Loser Buccaneers still keeps top position with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Other games of round 43 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:

Ipswich F. won against NGC Seahawks in Booval 80-76. Rockhampton managed to outperform Cairns M. at home 94-91. Northside W. recorded a loss to USC Rip on the opponent's court 94-86. Darwin S. defeated Townsville H. in a home game 100-84. Gold Coast R. was beaten by Brisbane C. on the road 105-98. Logan T. won against SW Metro P. on its own court 95-93. Diamond V.E. managed to outperform Casey in Greensborough 106-91. Waverley F. was rolled over Frankston B. at home 66-98. Eltham W. crushed Kilsyth C. on the opponent's court 87-68. Geelong U. beat Dandenong R. in a home game 78-65. Bendigo lost to NW Tasmania on the road 85-96. Perry Lakes H. unfortunately lost to East Perth E. on its own court 93-106. Lakeside L. recorded a loss to Perth R. in Northbridge 83-89. SW Slammers defeated Mandurah at home 100-92. Kalamunda ES was beaten by Goldfields G. on the opponent's court 94-86.
The best stats of 43th round was 36 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 5 assists by DeSean Parsons of Goldfields G..

Norwood F. - W.Adelaide B. 74-82

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Norwood Flames' (7-10) home loss to fifth ranked Bearcats (10-7) 74-82 on Friday. W.Adelaide B. had a 38-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for forward Fabijan Krslovic (203-1995, college: Montana) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists. The former international forward Akoldah Gak (208-2002) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side American power forward Jack Hemphill (208-1999, college: SFC) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Cooper Osborne (183-2004) scored 11 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bearcats have a solid series of three victories in a row. W.Adelaide B. moved-up to fourth place. Loser Norwood Flames keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Woodville W.. W.Adelaide B. will meet at home N.Adelaide R. (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Norwood F. will play against the league's leader S.Adelaide P. (#1) in Park Holme and hope to secure a win.

It was a great evening for American forward Alexander Starling (198-1989, college: BCU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 17 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Jeremy Smith (190-1991, college: Nicholls) helped adding 32 points and 7 assists. At the losing side guard Fred Webb (-1999) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Owen Raneberg (-2003) scored 22 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Eastern Mavericks' coach tested twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. South Adelaide Panthers have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. S.Adelaide P. keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Forestville E. and Sturt S. Strangely Lakeside L. outrebounded Perth R. 51-34 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for New Zealand guard Joe Cook-Green (185-1997, college: TxWes) who led his team to a victory scoring 38 points (!!!). The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for forward Alex Holcombe (206-1998, college: DBU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Swingman Buay Tuach (198-1995, college: LMU, agency: Haylett Sports) helped adding 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side point guard Joel Murray (183-1999, college: LBSU, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 37 points (!!!) and 6 assists (made all of his twelve free throws !!!) and forward Michael Durr (213-1998, college: UCF) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 25 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Slammers have a solid series of three victories in a row.
