American Point guard Kortland Martin (180-PG) had a great game in the last round for Blackburn Vikings and receives a Hoops Agents Big V Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had the game-high 40 points adding four rebounds and seven assists for Blackburn in his team's victory, helping them to beat Camberwell (#10, 4-13) 130-122. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Vikings maintains the 12th position in Australian Big V. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 13 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Martin had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He has many years of experience at Vikings, through which he has constantly improved. Freed-Hardeman University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Martin is in league's top in points (2nd best: 25.8ppg), assists (5th best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 55.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Kavione Green (195-F) of Bellarine Storm. He is American forward in his first season at Bellarine. In the last game Green recorded an impressive double-double of 30 points and 20 rebounds. Bad luck as Storm was edged by slightly higher-ranked Hume City (#4, 11-5) 94-91. Bellarine managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 9-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Green is one of the most experienced players at Bellarine and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.3ppg (#7). He also registered 11.7 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Gerrard Newby (196-F-1995) of league's second-best Keysborough Cougars. Newby showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Cougars, leading his team to a 102-84 easy win against #1 ranked Wyndham in a game of the week. Keysborough needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 5 lost games. Newby has a great season in Australia. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 11.9rpg (2nd best).

4. Ricardo Time (188-G) of Melbourne Uni - 37 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
5. James Legan (190-G-1987) of Blackburn - 40 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists
