Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Canberra G. made 8 blocks. Eighth ranked Bankstown Bruins (10-9) got a very close victory on the road over 11th ranked Sutherland Sharks (8-11). Bankstown Bruins managed to escape with a 3-point win 86-83 on Sunday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Andre Wolford who led the winners and scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Bankstown Bruins' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Lochlan Hutchison came up with 20 points and 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for Sutherland in the defeat. Bankstown Bruins have a solid series of three victories in a row. Despite that victory Bankstown B. went down to ninth position due to points difference. Sutherland lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 11 games lost.
