40 points scored by 38 year old American guard James Legan (190-G-1987, college: ECU) resulted in being the highest scoring player of the day in the world. His team the Vikings beat the Camberwell 112 to 107. On top of that he also recorded 6 rebounds and 3 assists that evening. He is the best scorer in the league averaging over 28 points and almost 5 rebounds per game. As you can see the league is dominated by ex-college players where all 10 best scorers graduated U.S. schools.
He has spent his entire career in Australia playing for five other teams: Eastern Mavericks, Force, Norwood Flames, Toowoomba Mountaineers and Bearcats.
Among many awards His team was the regular season runner-up in the Australian Premier League in 2018. Legan was also selected as the Australiabasket.com All-Australian QBL Player of the Year as well as the All-Australian QBL Import Player of the Year and the All-Australian QBL First Team back in 2016.
