39 points scored by 33 year old swingman Anthony Drmic (6'6''-G/F-1992, college: Boise St.) made him the highest scoring player of the day in the world. His team the W.Adelaide Bearcats beat the Central District Lions 110 to 98. He also added 3 rebounds and 8 assists that evening. 8 out of the top 10 highest scorers in the league are alumni of US colleges.
He has played previously for six other Australian teams: Adelaide 36ers, Bullets, Rangers, Noarlunga City Southern Tigers, Wizards and Spartans.
Among many awards he won the Australian NBL One championship title in 2023. Drmic was selected to the Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL One First Team in 2023.
He was also awarded Player of the Week in the Australian NBL1.
